My review:
This gift basket was right up my alley, because it was so useful. First of all, it comes with items that every kitchen can use. There’s a nice metal colander, which is very handy to have on hand, and a big serving spoon – can’t have too many of those! I was especially pleased with the cheese grater, because I’ve been meaning to buy a new one. The ones I have aren’t very good, so this will be a big help.
I also received a box of Romano’s Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken Pasta dinner kit, and tried it out for dinner last night. The kit is designed to be a meal in a box, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much is actually included. The box contained noodles, a seasoning packet, creamy sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, and a packet of grated cheese. All I had to do was add meat, milk, and a bit of butter. Being ever-thrifty and an adventerous cook, I decided to substitute pork for the chicken.
I knew this would be a hit, because Jai was sneaking bites before I even served it up. The pasta was very yummy and had a great flavor – Jai said it was “Really, really good, like pasta you’d get in a restaurant”. It was great with the pork, and it made a lot more than what you see in the picture; we both had seconds and then ate the leftovers for lunch today. Mmm!
My kit also came with coupons for three more complimentary boxes, so I’m looking forward to having several more hassle-free, delicious meals.
Win it!

My biggest dinnertime struggle is pre-planning. I often forget to defrost a meat ingredient on time or am missing one key ingredient when I start the meal preparation. This “meal in a box” would be a lifesaver.

Being consistent with dinner. I’ll buckle down and we’ll have a week of good, healthy meals prepared in advance, and then we’ll have a week where we’re eating out half the time.

My biggest struggle with preparing dinner for my family is my 2yr old thinks he is a chef & is steady taking things out of the fridge. we installed a safty latch now, so he wants to wash dishes. My little helper.
following thanks 4-x chance.
My biggest problem is that my two youngest children are vegan and eat no animal protein of any kind. It is not by choice. When they ingest animal protein (whey, geleatin, meat, eggs, dairy, fish, etc) they experience breathing problems. It has been this way since they were born and boy was it hard to diagnose. We’d never heard of any such thing. So, my oldest child is a carnivore, my oldest daughter leans to fish and veggies, my husband likes anything with cheese, and I like just about everything. Getting a meal on the table means making at least two different entrees a night. I don’t want the younger two to feel left out. No one else in the family is interested in becoming vegan out of solidarity. I used to love to cook … right now I’m kind of burned out.

My biggest struggle is balancing the amount of time used, the health of the meal, and the mess that it makes. Some of our healthiest meals make a big mess that takes time to clean up!
My biggest struggle is finding new, healthy, quick recipes. I get stuck in ruts and we eat the same things over and over again.

My biggest struggle is inspiration and variety. I tend to make the same meals over and over.

My biggest struggle is finding new recipes that are quick and easy to make that everyone will like.
Since I work full time, having time to cook when I get home is my biggest struggle!
My struggle is trying to cook something that everyone is going to like and eat. Everyone always wants something different.
My biggest struggle is making the same boring things over and over because they’re quick and easy. We could use a change from sloppy joes and hot dogs.

My biggest struggle is really in the deciding. “What’s for dinner” is the most dreaded question I hear. And I hear it on a daily basis!
I also seem to get stuck in ruts.

Mine is chosing what to eat and having all the ingredients on hand.
By biggest struggle is trying to get any vegetables into my family! No matter how cleverly I hide them in a dish, they seem to get picked out.
