My review:
This gift basket was right up my alley, because it was so useful. First of all, it comes with items that every kitchen can use. There’s a nice metal colander, which is very handy to have on hand, and a big serving spoon – can’t have too many of those! I was especially pleased with the cheese grater, because I’ve been meaning to buy a new one. The ones I have aren’t very good, so this will be a big help.
I also received a box of Romano’s Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken Pasta dinner kit, and tried it out for dinner last night. The kit is designed to be a meal in a box, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much is actually included. The box contained noodles, a seasoning packet, creamy sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, and a packet of grated cheese. All I had to do was add meat, milk, and a bit of butter. Being ever-thrifty and an adventerous cook, I decided to substitute pork for the chicken.
I knew this would be a hit, because Jai was sneaking bites before I even served it up. The pasta was very yummy and had a great flavor – Jai said it was “Really, really good, like pasta you’d get in a restaurant”. It was great with the pork, and it made a lot more than what you see in the picture; we both had seconds and then ate the leftovers for lunch today. Mmm!
My kit also came with coupons for three more complimentary boxes, so I’m looking forward to having several more hassle-free, delicious meals.
Win it!

The biggest struggle when preparing dinner is finding something that all of us will like so I don’t end up fixing different meals.

My biggest struggle with fixing dinner is all the dishes that need cleaning afterward, since I don’t have a dishwasher! I also have trouble finding healthy things to eat that my husband will like too.

The biggest struggle in fixing my family dinner is trying to figure out what to make sometimes. Sometimes I just don’t feel like cooking, but I also don’t like to go out to a restaurant and spend 3 times as much as I know it costs to make. Prepared frozen meals are a lifesaver!

My biggest struggle is trying to plan a meal. My son can be really picky at times and its hard to figure out something that everyone will eat without having to make 2 different meals.

My biggest struggle is the planning. I have to force myself to sit down and plan the weekly menu. The hardest part is just narrowing down which recipes I want to use. There are too many (better too many than not enough, though)! It’s definitely worth the time it takes, though.

My biggest struggle is finding a time when we are all together (honestly, I ought to just install a revolving door in this house! *lol) and then DECIDING what to make!!
I tutor after school, so I can’t prepare dinner then. I either have to start something earlier in the day or have things around for my husband to cook for us.
My biggest struggle is how tired I am by the time dinner time comes around. My twin boys go to bed around 7 and by then….I am just too tired. This would be great to try out. Thanks for the chance to win!
Motivation, time, energy…you name it, that’s my biggest struggle – which is why I don’t cook, my husband does!! LOL
Thanks!
getting the timing right. One of part of the meal is always ready 15 min after everything else
Myi biggest struggle is meal planning. I can never think of something to make…and never have the right ingredients on hand!
