My review:
This gift basket was right up my alley, because it was so useful. First of all, it comes with items that every kitchen can use. There’s a nice metal colander, which is very handy to have on hand, and a big serving spoon – can’t have too many of those! I was especially pleased with the cheese grater, because I’ve been meaning to buy a new one. The ones I have aren’t very good, so this will be a big help.
I also received a box of Romano’s Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken Pasta dinner kit, and tried it out for dinner last night. The kit is designed to be a meal in a box, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much is actually included. The box contained noodles, a seasoning packet, creamy sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, and a packet of grated cheese. All I had to do was add meat, milk, and a bit of butter. Being ever-thrifty and an adventerous cook, I decided to substitute pork for the chicken.
I knew this would be a hit, because Jai was sneaking bites before I even served it up. The pasta was very yummy and had a great flavor – Jai said it was “Really, really good, like pasta you’d get in a restaurant”. It was great with the pork, and it made a lot more than what you see in the picture; we both had seconds and then ate the leftovers for lunch today. Mmm!
My kit also came with coupons for three more complimentary boxes, so I’m looking forward to having several more hassle-free, delicious meals.
Win it!

My biggest struggle is what to cook for dinner. I am not a cook by any stretch of the imagination and have a limited number of meals that I have mastered so it is challenging to come up with new EASY and healthy recipes that everyone will like.

My biggest struggle is trying to care for four children while trying to get a meal together. Normally it doesn’t work in my favor and we have dinner late so that my Dh can help me out once he gets home from work.

My biggest struggle is being consistent every night with a good meal. Some days I either am too busy to pre-plan the meal and we end up getting takeout. I need to be better organized.

My biggest struggle is inspiration. WHAT do I make? What if I make such-and-such, and my husband’s not in the mood for it? All that work for nothing! Agh. I really hate cooking.

My biggest struggle is keeping the kids entertained and out of the kitchen while I make food. I have a 3 year old and 8 month old.
My biggest struggle is that I have 4 kids and I have trouble fixing something that everyone wants! It seems like most of the time, at least one person complains!
