I wanted to update you as to how these traps had been working out for us. As I mentioned in my review, the rodents we’ve been having issues with are larger rats – in fact, our friends at Victor suggested that I might have roof rats after reading my review, which would make a lot of sense since they were literally jumping onto my roof and running in the gutters! The Refillable Bait Station which we reviewed is designed for smaller mice, and after setting the trap, Jai could see that it had been moved/prodded without the bait being accessed (Since the rodent presumably had too big of a snout to get at the bait, which is tucked inside the bait station to make it more secure). So Jai actually took one of the pellets out and set it next to the bait station, since our trap was placed in a crawlspace not inside the house and would not be in danger of being tampered with by pets or other animals. And you know what? The rodent(s) that we had quickly made off with the bait…and disappeared. They didn’t die in the walls! This means that the last two weeks have been peaceful – we can’t see, hear, or otherwise notice and rodent activity, so they just disappeared. This has definitely been my best experience using bait!
