You may recall that I reviewed Tropical Traditions’ Coconut Oil Hair Treatment last summer, and was so impressed with its performance that it became a must-have in my hair care arsenal. So when Tropical Traditions invited me to review another one of their hair oils, you know I was all over it! And, one lucky Contest Corner reader will win a bottle of Lavender-scented Organic Hair Oil, so read on!
Unlike the Coconut Oil Hair Treatment I reviewed last time, which was a solid cream in a jar, this Organic Hair Oil comes in liquid form in an 8 oz bottle. Available in Lavender, Rosemary, or Unscented, I opted for the Lavender version and was not disappointed by the lovely aroma. Since this is a liquid rather than a cream, it was much easier to apply and also seemed to be a little less messy, since I put it directly on my dry hair rather than washing it before application. I applied all over my hair and clipped it up for about an hour before showering and applying another deep conditioner. It seemed to work quite nicely – I haven’t tried leaving it on overnight yet, as I usually did with the solid coconut oil hair cream, so I’m not sure how it compares as a moisturizing treatment, but so far I am enjoying it. The other neat thing about this is that it’s easy to use as a leave-in conditioner also. I apply a very small amount to my ends before drying – I just have to be careful not to put too much on, or my hair gets too greasy to style.
I love having oils on hand to treat my hair, since you know how often I bleach it! 😀
This hair-dye crazy girl gives two thumbs up to coconut oil to help tame frazzled tresses!
