I have early memories of playing with Transformers after we first moved to America in 1989 – I’m not sure if we bought them at yard sales after moving here or if old Optimus immigrated with us, but either way, it brings back warm fuzzy memories. I haven’t seen a Transformers episode in eons, so I thought it would be fun to see how it’s been rebooted for the next generation in Transformers: EarthSpark.

I received a brand new DVD that just released on May 16th featuring the first 10 episodes from season one of the show, and it was nice to take a little walk down memory lane and see how these characters had been re-imagined for this generation of children. It’s an action-packed show that has a joke or two tucked in for the parents who are watching along with the kids – I chuckled when one of the Decepticons was in trouble and exclaimed, “Aw, scrap!”

The first 18 episodes of Transformers: EarthSpark season one are now streaming exclusively on Paramount+, with a new batch of season one episodes coming this summer. And this classic show is clearly a hit with today’s kids, because Transformers: EarthSpark has already been renewed for a second season!

The Transformers: EarthSpark: Season 1, Episodes 1-10 DVD is available from Paramount Home Entertainment and can be purchased wherever DVDs are sold, including Amazon.
