If you’re looking for a fun and educational stocking stuffer that won’t break the bank, then you won’t want to miss this! One lucky Contest Corner reader will win five TickleMe Plant Seed Packets, so read on!
The Mimosa pudica, or “Tickle me” plant, is a unique plant whose leaves recoil upon touch, as show in the animation above. It has been suggested that this unique phenomenon is the result of a defense mechanism evolved by the plant. They make a fascinating houseplant for children due to their interesting nature and open up the door to a lot of learning opportunities and fun, which is why I think they make a good stocking stuffer. This would also be a fun little stocking stuffer for a gardener, or anyone with a passing interest in plants – Jai actually showed me a video of these plants a few months ago because he thought it was interesting, so I know what’s going in his stocking this year! 😉
TickleMe Plant Seeds retail for $5.50 and are available to purchase on TickleMePlant.com!
