As I mentioned in “The Road To Getting Fit”, I’m testing out a three-month supply of Sensa. The creator of the program, Dr. Alan Hirsch, has written a book about it titled The Sensa Weight-Loss Program. I will be reviewing the book after it debuts on November 3rd; in the meantime, if you’d like to check it out for yourself, you can click here to view it on Amazon.
Using Sensa has been interesting so far. You sprinkle it on your food, as if it were a seasoning; the theory is that it will stimulate the the “satiety center” of the brain, which is supposed to help you lose weight. One side of the shaker is labeled “Salty”, the other is labeled “Sweet”, and you use them on corresponding foods. The “Salty” doesn’t have any flavor, but the “Sweet” seems to have a vague flavor that reminds me of artificial sweetener. I do find it to be a little bit of a psychological turn-off to put powder all over my food, although the salty shaker doesn’t seem to affect how it actually tastes. But I haven’t been using it for long, so I’ll probably get used to it. I will continue to keep you posted!
Always consult with your physician before embarking on any weight loss or exercise program. This is an anecdotal account of my own personal experience, provided for entertainment purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition. Individual results will vary.
Try wearing wearable weights like “Body Togs†scientifically based weighted sleeves worn on your arms & legs under your clothes as you go about your day. They increase calorie burn, muscle tone & bone density. Weighted vests work great too! go to: http://www.WomensPersonalFitness.net
