Spa Getaway Basket

I love getting new bath products. Scented bath salts, lotion, shower gel – it’s one of those little pleasures that makes your day that much better. It’s so fun to have different scents to choose from, and I’ve built a nice little collection of spa products so that I always have new ones to enjoy. And when birthdays or holidays come around, I often make gift baskets for my friends and family with little pampering items like these – I think it makes a great gift, because not only is it a treat, but it’s practical. We all need soap, right?

So when I had a chance to pick out a complimentary spa gift basket from ProFlowers.com, I was very excited. It was a hard choice, but I eventually decided on the Spa Getaway Basket. I picked this basket because it contained some of my favorite goodies: bath products, tea, and candles!

When my basket arrived, I couldn’t wait to tear into it! Click on the thumbnails above for a closer look at my lovely gift basket. The package contained a box of Tazo tea, shower gel, bubble bath, bath salts, lotion, an exfoliating mitt, and candles, packaged in a great basket. I love the thought and presentation that went into this collection – the bath products are all green tea scented, which goes perfectly with the box of tea. I always try to “theme” the gift baskets that I make, so this gets my stamp of approval! The only small snag in the presentation was that the candles fell off the basket during transit, causing a small tear in the plastic wrap. But this did not hamper my experience at all, since I was going to tear into it immediately anyway! There were some slight discrepancies from what was shown on the product page – there were 4 votive candles instead of 2 pillar candles, and the bath mitt was not green. However, these details were inconsequential to me; also, the lotion was not pictured at all, and was listed on the product page only as “Item #12281”; and there were 4 extra teabags included, so those things were actually a bonus!

I think this basket would make a fantastic gift for almost any woman on my list. I love Tazo tea, and the assortment box in this gift basket includes a variety of flavors, which I’ve really enjoyed sampling. The exfoliating mitt is awesome – I collect exfoliating products, too! – and I’ve been enjoying the sweet-smelling shower gel and lotion. My skin gets really dry, so I’ve been using the lotion more for scent than moisturizing, since I have to use a heavy duty moisturizer on my hands. I can’t wait to try the bath salts and bubble bath, and when this heatwave ends, I will enjoy the ambiance from the pretty candles too! Since the products came packaged in an attractive basket, they are going to look really nice displayed in my bathroom.

At $49.99, the Spa Getaway Basket is not cheap; I could make a comparable basket myself for much less. However, not everyone has the time or inclination to do that, so this is an instance where you are paying for the presentation and theme as well as the products. I am absolutely delighted with my basket and I think any other recipient would be, too!
