This might sound silly, but I base a lot of my fragrance purchases solely off the packaging. Of course, when I can spritz a tester of a scent I do, but sometimes that’s not possible – for example, when the scents are locked behind glass or when I had the opportunity to select a complimentary Tru Fragrance from their website for review. In these situations, I used the packaging to gauge what demographic they’re going for, because I usually find that if the packaging appeal to me – I like the scent, too! I know it must be that way for a lot of people, since perfume companies spend so much time and budget on packaging and celebrity endorsements.
So, when it came time to choose a scent from Tru, I picked Sinful Fragrance For Her. I just loved the pink and black cheeta print box, and the elaborate pink bottle with wings! Sinful has an overall deeper, musky scent with a hint of fruity tones. It lists the fragrance profile as patchouli, vanilla, white musk, and amber for the base mixed with raspberries, mandarin, apple, and jasmine as the top notes and gardenia/black currant as the middle notes. I think this is quite a nice scent and I’ve been wearing it a lot over the last week – it would be an awesome gift for any fashionista/perfume lover because of the quality and ready-to-gift packaging!
Sinful Fragrance is available on Buckle.com for $49.95.
I really like the packaging. The perfume bottle is really wild looking, sounds like a good perfume. This would make a great stocking stuffer.
If it smells as cool as it looks then it should be in MY stocking 🙂
I make my choices based on the packaging as well when trying something new. The first thing I thought when I seen this was I have to have that bottle.
