The Pillsbury Bake-Off has been around for 60 years now – and this year, they’re making history by allowing the public to help choose 10 recipes that will go on to compete in the finals for the $1 million dollar prize. And to celebrate, our friends over at MyBlogSpark would like to give away a special Bake-Off prize pack to 2 lucky Contest Corner readers!
About The Pillsbury Bake-Off’s You Be the Judge! Voting:
This year, Pillsbury are allowing the public to vote for their favorite recipes on BakeOff.com. Judges will select 20 recipes to be placed online in pairs for a period of two weeks each. The recipe that receives the most votes every fortnight will earn a spot in the Pillsbury Bake-Off finals, which will take place in Orlando, Florida from April 11th-13th, 2010.
I took a look at the current contenders on BakeOff.com, and I had a very hard time deciding who to cast my vote for. As of this writing, Easy Empanada Squares are facing off against Deep-Dish Chicken Cordon Bleu. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I ended up casting my ballot for the Empanada Squares!
Giveaway Time!
MyBlogSpark is giving away a Bake-Off prize pack to 2 lucky winners, which features a magazine of past Bake-Off recipes and a Pillsbury Doughboy giggle doll.
I also received one of these prize packs, and I loved it. The Doughboy doll is so cute and cuddly, and makes his famous “Hoo-hoo!” noise when you poke his tummy. He’d make a great friend for your kids to play with – or if you’re a kid-at-heart, he’d also make a great kitchen decoration!
The Bake-Off Prize Winning Recipes 2009 magazine is a full-color resource that’s jam-packed with 120 delicious recipes from prior years of the competition. I love to cook, so I can’t wait to try these recipes out; one I’d especially like to make this summer is the Taco-Seasoned Chicken Salad with Crispy Tortilla Topping. I’m always looking for light meals to eat when it gets hot, but salad can be repetitive. This sounds really yummy and different!
Would you like a chance to win one of these prize packs? Here’s how to enter:

I love Pillsbury products!! I think a winning recipe is one that is simple to prepare, readily available ingredients and of course it has to be very tasty lol
Thanks for the chance to win!
a winning recipe is a something that everyone can relate to–not something with “out there” or weird ingredients. Something that tastes like home.

A winning recipe is one that doesn’t use special ingredients, that doesn’t take too long to make, and that everyone likes.
I subscribe to your RSS feed. My email address is in my profile. Thanks!
If it has simple ingredients and not very many of them and can be fixed quickly, it’s a winner!
