Mitchel Musso rose to fame (and teen-heartthrob status) as the co-star on the hit TV show Hannah Montana. And with the release of Musso’s debut CD, he can add “Pop star” to his resume. To celebrate the album’s debut, 2 lucky Contest Corner readers will win copies of the disc!
My Take:
I have always had a soft spot for lighthearted pop. The more upbeat and fun, the better! So when Disney Records asked if I would like to review Musso’s self-titled album, I was more than happy to give it a spin; and the record did not dissapoint.
This whole album is feelgood and infectious. The CD is consistent – this is not a record with one or two good songs and bunch of filler. From the catchy anthem “Hey” to the uptempo “Shout It”, this collection of teen anthems delivers. I particularly enjoyed “Do It Up”, a great track penned by Max Martin, a pop legend who has crafted hits for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, and many more. I also loved “Us Against The World”, a memorable cut with a dance beat.
If carefree pop is your thing, you ought to give this one a spin. I love this kind of music because it’s so happy and always lifts my spirits. If your musical tastes are more serious – well, I think I would have lost you at “Britney Spears”. So if you enjoy unabashed pop, or have a child that loves Hannah Montana, then this CD is your summer must-listen.

Seriously, I was as surprised as y’all were when I accidentally caused that earthquake. Alls I was doin’ was lookin’ for a new goldfish at the pet store, ‘cause all my other ones are frickin’ stupid so I just flushed ‘em down the crapper. LOL! But I looked at that damn fish tank for literally like a hundred years, and I couldn’t find any goldfish there that I wanted; all of ‘em looked mean, and the last thing I need is some pissed off goldfish in my home, giving me drama.
