Purex Triple Action Laundry Detergent Review

Laundry: No one wants to do it, but it’s a fact of life. I know that laundry ranks right up there with the most hated chores for many people, but I find it to be more pleasant than a lot of other household drudgery because I love the smell and feel of clean, fresh fabric. I like trying new laundry products because I really enjoy experiencing new scents, so being a Purex Insider is nice because I get to try out complimentary samples of new products for keeping laundry clean and fresh.

Earlier in the week, I received a bottle of Purex’s new and improved Triple Action Laundry Detergent in Mountain Breeze. This updated formula aims to get clothes bright and clean, and works in both traditional and High Efficiency washers. When I opened the cap, the first thing I noticed was the crisp, refreshing scent – I really like laundry products that have a bright, fresh aroma, so this was right up my alley.

In order to test out this detergent, I’ve used it in several loads of laundry this week. This ran the gamut from a normal load of clothes washed in cold water, to a load of more heavily soiled kitchen towels and linens washed in hot water. With each load, I was satisfied with its performance cleaning my laundry, and really enjoyed the subtle fresh scent it left on my clothes. I haven’t really noticed a “Brightening” effect so far, but most of the items I’ve been washing are darker in color – I’d be interested to try this on some of my faded white camisoles and see if it perks up their color or not.
