Summer is here – and warmer weather means it’s time for sandals and flip-flops! Want to pamper your feet and get them ready for barefoot days on the beach? One lucky Contest Corner reader will win a Profoot gift bag containing Pump Pouches, Flex-tastic, Callus Blaster, Good-Night Bunion, and Heel Rescue Cream, so read on!
My take:
I have dry feet, and I hate it. Calluses don’t look very nice, so I’m always trying lotions and exfoliants to soften my feet. Callus Blaster is brand new product from Profoot, a “triple action gel” designed to remove dead skin. This sounded right up my alley, so I was excited to try it out!
According to the directions, you should apply a small amount of Callus Blaster to your feet, remove the excess with a washcloth, leave on for 3 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with soap and water. Whatever you do, don’t apply this right before you step into the shower. Silly me thought that because I’ve used other foot products in the shower before that this would be OK – but Callus Blaster makes your feet EXTREMELY slippery, and it probably didn’t help that I put on a lot and stepped right into the shower without wiping it off (Oops!). I also do not have a mat in my shower. Can you tell where this is going? Yep, I slipped flat on my back! DUH! I know better now – in the future, I will sit securely on the side of the tub or use my footbath to rinse my feet.
That aside, I was glad to have a chance to try this out – my feet are really in need of an exfoliant. Jai also has dry feet, so he tried using Callus Blaster as well. Both our feet seemed to be softer after using it; our calluses are still there, but we will keep using it twice a week as directed and hopefully it will help the rough skin on our heels!
In addition to the Callus Blaster, Profoot also sent me a complimentary sample of Goodnight Bunion. I don’t have bunions – lucky me!! – so I will be donating this, but here’s a little info on the product for my readers who may suffer from the condition and wish to know more:
“This professional bunion regulator gently repositions the big-toe to relieve pressure and discomfort while you sleep. It is comfortable, safe and highly effective and is the same used by podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons worldwide. Just slip it on, adjust the simple Velcroâ„¢ strap, and feel instant relief.
* Gently realigns tight tendons and muscles in your foot while you sleep
* Podiatrist recommended
* An alternative to surgery”

Hoo boy, do I need these!! I wear sneakers all day (no open toed shoes allowed) and my feet sweat and my toes cramp. Not to mention the calluses and sometimes nail fungus! I’d also love to try the Flex-tastic Gel Toe Relaxers. That might help the toe cramps.

I would love to try the Good-Night Bunion. My 8 year old daughter has very bad bunions, and can’t have them surgically fixed until she is around 16. I’m curious as to whether it would help relieve some of her discomfort!
