Top Ten With Mitch Grassi of Pentatonix
I’m inspired by: Imogen Heap. She’s always been my main source of musical inspiration. She produces her own music and has a beautiful voice! She is what I want to be when I grow up.
I realized I wanted to play music when: I was born.
Four songs you might find on my iPod: “Ponponpon” by Kyarypamyupamyu, “Liquorice” by Azealia Banks, “Windowlicker” by Aphex Twin, “2night” by Eric Prydz.
One word I would use to describe myself: ridiculous.
The best part of being a musician: performing! I love being on stage.
Right now, I’m most excited about: performing at B.B. King’s in New York!
Something most people don’t know about me: I am training to be a DJ!
One of my happiest moments was: performing “Battlefield” with the beautiful and talented Jordin Sparks.
My music is: not MY music, but OUR music. It’s extremely eclectic, and stems from a ton of different influences.
In ten years, I see myself: producing music, DJing for massive crowds, and hopefully still performing with Pentatonix!
