Well, Jai’s 10-day Nutrisystem Challenge has come to an end. After following the program for ten days, he has lost 2 pounds! This is what Jai has to say about his experience with Nutrisystem:
“The 10-Day Challenge has been a great experience!
The first day on the diet is a little tough – I felt rather hungry for a lot of the day. I also felt this way the day after I fell off the wagon into a surprise family dinner party! Now, after ten days on the program, I don’t feel underfed but I find that a do look forward to meal time. I can tell I’m on a schedule and I start craving it when it’s getting close to dinner time.
I thought the food was very good – I could easily live on all of this stuff, it’s just that I’d probably eat twice the recommended amount. 🙂
Keeping my calorie intake, weight, and activity level logged using the Nutrisystem website and Android app has helped me stay focused. It’s too bad it’s only for ten days!”
Being the frugal blogger that I am, I wanted to point out that not all of the food is included in the Nutrisystem package. For two of the snack periods, it’s recommended that you supplement with foods that you have on hand such as chicken, vegetables, fruit, etc. Jai decided to supplement his Nutrisystem meals with cup-o-noodles and McChicken sandwiches! You see, I’m still in England, and he definitely eats like a bachelor when left to his own devices. 😉
Jai weighed in every day during the 10-day challenge and saw his weight loss occur half-way through the program. His 2 pound weight loss remained consistent throughout the remaining 5 days of the plan. “It really did show results in the first ten days,” Jai said.
I think it was a very real-world test – he went off program for one evening to enjoy a dinner with his family, not to mention the bachelor food for snacks, and he still got results.

That is great that he seen results after just using the program for a short amount of time. I have been curious how the food tastes.
I have debating doing this, just concerned if high sodium due to my high blood pressure {it fluctuates high/normal all the time} but can’t be that bad compared to what I probably already put into my mouth! lol
curious. I read your post to my husband and he wanted to know if you can answer a few questions
DID he lose a total of 2 lbs in the 10 days or 2 lbs a day from the 5th day on?
Did he do any exercising at all?
Thanks
so much for answering you can email me or post above and let me know I’ll come back to read. thanks
WOW – I like “tests” that are real world. I like that he went off the diet, because I generally will, and was still able to lose weight – Good for him!
Losing 2lbs over the course of 10 days is decent and a healthy amount to lose. Good to know it was possible even with his “slip ups!”
2 pounds is still good! 🙂
No matter how much loose, 2 lbs or less…your still a champ in my book for taking the step. Thanks for sharing
2 lbs is still impressive considering the bachelor food. 🙂 My husband eats like a bachelor everyday…I can’t stop him. ; )
Hi everyone! 🙂
Tricia, here are Jai’s answers to your questions:
“Over the course of the the entire 10 days I lost two full pounds. It was just that the first week showed pretty slight results (I lost about a 1/4 pound), while there was no doubt that it was kicking in during the second week. (I lost the other 1 3/4 pounds)
The only light exercising that I’d been doing for the past few months is walking the dog a couple of times a week. I didn’t change any exercise routine during the diet. Sticking to the meal plan was the only thing that was different in my life.”
I’m going to email you this info as well. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions! 🙂
That is amazing that in just 10 days you could see a difference.
