Top Ten With Midnight Red: Answered by Thomas
I’m inspired by:
RedHeads, Elvis Presley, Rock n Roll, Art, N’Sync, and my family.
I realized I wanted to play music when:
I don’t think I ever had one specific realization, I just always knew what I wanted and it was/is a part of who I am. Even since my earliest memories.
Four songs you might find on my iPod:
“Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac
“Young Turks” by Rod Stewart
“Sex on Fire” by Kings of Leon
“Drain You” by Nirvana
“Best of Both Worlds” by Hannah Montana
One word I would use to describe myself:
Enigmatic
The best part of being a musician is:
Your “work” clothes are whatever you want and you get to connect with so many interesting people.
Right now, I’m most excited about:
Hearing myself on the radio, that’s been a dream of mine since the beginning of time. And meeting Susan Boyle.
Something most people don’t know about me is:
Even though I like breaking rules and getting in trouble, I have a very strict work ethic for myself.
One of my happiest moments was:
My mom surprising me at our first show in Las Vegas (She lives in Texas) on the NKOTBSB tour. It was an incredibly surreal, full circle moment for me to have my Mom by my side as I was performing in a sold out arena because she was the one that would drive me to small gigs in Texas and watch me practice in the living room everyday as a kid.
My music is:
Midnight Red’s music is definitely ‘feel good’ dance music. It’s high energy, and has a certain level of character in it because us five are so different, but inherently mesh so well.
In ten years, I see myself:
Building my dream house in Austin, TX. Having a clothing line, and definitely be an evolved artist still impacting music.
Above is a video of Midnight Red performing their newest single, “Hell Yeah”, at Universal City Walk. Be sure to bookmark MidnightRed.com and follow the band on Facebook and Twitter for updates on their upcoming album.
