I’ve mentioned on here a few times that I’m a member of the word-of-mouth marketing company BzzAgent. One of my recent campaigns with them was for Mahatma rice, which recently changed their name from “S&W rice” and want to spread the word.
I was sent a bag of Mahatma White Rice and Mahatma Brown Rice to taste-test, and we’ve really enjoyed both of them. The brown rice in particular is among some of the best I’ve prepared. Rice is one of my favorite meal staples because it’s so versatile. Yesterday, I made refried beans and Mahatma brown rice for lunch, adding veggies and seasoning salt to the rice as it cooked to give it an extra kick. Today, I spooned some of the leftovers onto a corn tortilla, topped with cheese, and heated it in the toaster oven. Yummy, frugal, and quick: What more could you ask for?
Win it!
One lucky reader will win two coupons – one for a free 2 lb. package of Mahatma rice, and one for a free 28 oz. package of Mahatma brown rice. Both coupons expire 6/30/10. Here’s how to enter:
1. For your first entry, click here to check out the recipe section of Mahatma’s website, then come back here and tell me which recipe you might prepare if you win!

“Chow Fan” or Chinese style fried rice. I like the fact that Mahatma’s recipe involves cooking sherry which my wife and I use lots of.
