Lenny & Larry’s Complete Vegan Cookies Giveaway – Ends 7/31

When I was at FitBloggin’ last month, I was introduced to Lenny & Larry’s, a company that makes high-protein “Muscle Brownies”. I enjoyed these so much that when I was offered a sampler pack of Lenny & Larry’s Complete Cookies to review, I was very eager to taste-test them! These cookies are packed with 15 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, and are vegan-friendly with no animal products. The cookies are a decent size and contain 2 servings, which is 219 calories for 1/2 cookie. I received a sampler pack of all 6 flavors: Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate, Oatmeal Raisin, Pumpkin, Lemon Poppy and Peanut Butter. When the box arrived, I immediately claimed dibs on the chocolate and pumpkin varieties, giving the peanut butter & oatmeal cookies to Jai since those are his favorite kind of cookies.

I think Jai summed it up best when he tried the Oatmeal Raisin and said: “It sure doesn’t taste vegan – if this is what vegan food tastes like, I could go vegan!” I would not have realized there was anything “Different” about these cookies if I hadn’t been told; in fact, the only real difference I noticed was that in some ways, these were higher quality than your standard pre-packaged cookie. For example, when I was snacking on the Pumpkin cookie, I was struck by how moist and fresh it was. This was a cookie that had arrived in the mail, so I was not expecting it to taste as if Lenny and Larry had just pulled it out of the oven! Usually when I buy a pre-packaged cookie in the store, it tends to be a little tougher and not as soft.
