Kip Moore - Up All Night

Rising country star Kip Moore is already making a name for himself – and he hasn’t even released his debut album yet! Contest Corner readers will remember Kip from our exclusive interview with him last month. The Nashville singer/songwriter has made quite a splash with his first single, “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck”, which found itself on the top 25 country singles chart with its video gaining over 5 million views and counting on YouTube. Now, his first album Up All Night is set for release on April 24th. We recently got an advance copy of this album to check out before it hit shelves – there’s a lot of buzz surrounding this record, so what can fans expect?

Up All Night is a smooth, melodic fusion of country with rock and pop influences. Speaking to everyday life situations with an honest narrative and a grit in his voice, some have likened Moore to Bruce Springsteen. I think this album has a lot of crossover potential and will appeal to more casual listeners as well as country fans, thanks to its selection of catchy, upbeat cuts like “Drive Me Crazy”, “Fly Again”, and “Beer Money”. Moore also gets introspective with thoughtful tracks like “Hey Pretty Girl”, “Where You Are Tonight”, and “Faith When I Fall”. Rounding out the album are the twangy country anthems “Reckless (Growing Up)” and “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck”, the lead single that has torn up airwaves; the deluxe version of Up All Night also includes an acoustic rendition of this fan favorite. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot “Moore” from this artist!

  1. My son and I are testing the waters and I’m helping him build a very simple side scroller.
