It’s summer break – but although school may not be in session, teachers don’t stop working. So many teachers spend their summer on social media in order to share their classroom wishlists in hopes of getting donations. Stocking the classroom is often a demand that occupies much of a teacher’s time, energy, and pocketbook.

Why Do Teachers Need Help?

Most people aren’t aware of how much of their own money teachers are spending to purchase necessary supplies. Teacher Feature began in 2023 as a way to help address the problem, raise awareness for what educators do and encourage people to donate to their Amazon wishlists! Contest Corner published this article last year interviewing several teachers to find out why they buy so many items for their classrooms, and the responses varied: Some had to purchase basic essentials like paper and ink because they weren’t provided by the school; others provide supplies for underprivileged children and snacks for hungry kids who come to school without breakfast. The cost of purchasing all these items for an entire classroom adds up fast – one teacher even shared that they had incurred debt just getting materials to do their job. But we can help!

How YOU Can Help!

During holiday breaks, teachers are busy on social media sharing their classroom supply wishlists in hopes of getting donations to “Clear The List”! We’re highlighting 31 fabulous educators for each day of June – please browse the wishlists below and consider donating an item! Most of these supplies only cost a few bucks each, and if we call pitch in, we can provide for these teachers that provide so much for their students! And if you’re strapped for cash, you can still help enormously by sharing this post – the more people see this, the more donations we can get for these deserving educators!

This year, Amazon Prime Days will start at 12:01 AM PDT on July 16th and run through the 17th. There will be millions of deals on products, including savings on back-to-school items, so this is the perfect time to donate an item to a teacher! Classroom items are usually very inexpensive – it only adds up if you’re a teacher and have to buy a whole classroom’s worth – so add Prime Day deals on top of that, and you can make a difference for a teacher even if you’re on a budget.
