Joy of Thank You Red Carpet Kit: Merci Chocolates Giveaway – Ends 02/25 #MerciAwards

We’re in the thick of awards season, and with the Oscars coming up this Sunday, you can be sure to hear a plethora of heartfelt “Thank you” speeches from A-list stars. I received a “Red Carpet Kit” of my own this past week, and it was perfect timing: I was holding a small dinner party in honor of a friend’s birthday, so I used the enclosed wine glasses to serve some fun cocktails and say “Cheers!”. To make it even sweeter, I set out the enclosed box of Merci Chocolates to be enjoyed with the birthday cake. I believe this was the first time I’d ever tasted Meri Chocolates, and holy cow, were they good! I adored the delicious flavor combinations including hazelnut, creamy white chocolate and praline. I treated myself to a few before the party and then sent some home with the birthday boy and took another small handful to grandma. After all, sharing is caring and how better to say “Thanks” to the important people in my life than to treat them?

Also included in the kit were some toasting tips from Mindy Lockard of the Gracious Girl. The advice included keeping it brief, kind, and not stressing too much about what to say ahead of time – all good tips! There are sure to be many toasts in Hollywood this weekend as actors attend the Academy Awards. I know if I were famous, I’d be one of the celebrities that takes so long in their acceptance speech that they’d have to play the music to cut me off. Well, I just have so many people I’d want to thank! But the first person who I’d give a nod to if I ever won a big award would naturally be Jai. He’s literally been there through it all and always supported me unconditionally – I could never thank him enough for all that he does, but at least I got a little start with these chocolates, right? 🙂
