Il Volo are an Italian teen trio with powerhouse operatic voices. Their self-titled debut, which has already been certified platinum in Italy, was just released stateside on May 17th. And one lucky Contest Corner reader will win a copy of their album, so read on!

Three teenagers with amazing voices – seventeen-year-old Piero Barone, and sixteen-year-olds Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble – Il Volo are a pop-opera trio that got their start by winning a popular Italian talent competition, “Ti Lascio Una Canzone”. I received a copy of their debut to review, and was very impressed by their outstanding vocal abilities. A smooth, ear-pleasing disc, this album will appeal to a wide range of people; the pop overtones and fantastic vocals make this accessible to audiences who may not normally enjoy opera.
