My Take:
One of the most fun parts of the holidays is watching it through the eyes of children – partly because it brings back the magic of our own childhoods! I was immediately drawn to these fun action figures because it reminds me of something I would have enjoyed playing with as a child. I settled on the “Hockey Guys” to review, because it seemed like a pretty cool set. The guys come in their own plastic bucket – making it nice and easy to store! – and include two teams, an “Ice rink” mat, plastic nets & a wall to place around the rink. Children can play make-believe hockey matches on their own, and it also includes some ideas on how to play a hockey match with a friend. The instructions give some guidelines on how actual hockey matches are played, but encourage using your imagination and coming up with your own rules. I’ve always been pretty clueless about sports, but I would have had a blast shuttling the little hockey guys around the rink!
There are a variety of Sports Guys available, including a line of College Football Guys, so you can even support your home team. The other thing I really liked was that they also carry “Soccer Girls”. Little girls are often overlooked when it comes to athletic toys, so it’s great that there is something available to encourage girls who are interested in sports!
