My Take:
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I have dry, sensitive skin. I keep lotion on my hands all day long as a result. I’m also concerned about shielding my epidermis from the elements, so I always wear sunscreen during the summer and use a lotion on my face that contains a high SPF all year round. I’ve been looking for a body lotion with SPF, so that I can keep all my skin protected year-round without the heavy grease of normal sunscreen. So when Skin MD asked if I would like to review their skin care product, I was happy to oblige. Skin MD Natural smells nice and contains SPF 15 to help protect skin against the sun’s damaging rays. This lotion is pretty much the solution to my quest for a lighter sunscreen – it’s similar to traditional sunscreen in a lot of ways, but it’s not so heavy or greasy. It absorbs right into the skin, which is good, but that also means that it doesn’t leave that slick coating which I’m used to from other lotions. I think I would ideally let this soak in, then add another layer of traditional lotion on top, just to give myself that extra coating of moisture. Yes, my skin is really that dry! I think I prefer a little heavier layer of lotion than most people – I had Jai put a little bit of Skin MD on his hands to see what he thought, and he found it to be quite sufficient without adding anything else.

A Shielding Lotion is far more effective as a dry skin treatment than conventional moisturizing lotions or protective creams. If you suffer from dry skin, you know that just using a moisturizing lotion doesn’t solve the problem.
