Holiday Gift Guide 2009: Skin Free Niaouli Butter Stick Review

Holiday Gift Guide 2009: Skin Free Niaouli Butter Stick Review

One of my little quirks is that I’m forever buying new foot lotions. It’s always bugged me to have rough skin on the bottom of my feet, so I’m always trying new pumices and moisturizers to help soften my soles. This is especially necessary when you wear open-toed shoes all the time! So when Skin Free Skincare asked which of their products I would be interested in reviewing, their Niaouli Butter Stick was at the top of my list.

The Niaouli Butter Stick blends Niaouli Oil and Shea Butter to help soothe cracked, dry skin. Skin Free also recommends it for hands and elbows, but I reserved this solely for my soles! This was very useful when I was on vacation in California and enjoying the summer weather – I would put it on before stepping into my strappy sandals for the day, and I could see it soften the skin as I applied it. Since the weather has turned cold, my tootsies have started to get REALLY dry, so I’ve been slathering the butter all over them and putting on thick socks before going to bed. One thing to note – this isn’t a “stick” in the traditional sense, it’s actually a pot of butter which you scoop out with each application. I thought it might be a stick that I would rub on to my feet directly, which I think would make it slightly easier to apply, but that wasn’t a big deal to me. All in all, I give this butter stick two thumbs (or should that be toes?) up!

If you’re looking for a gift for the lady on your list, might I suggest treating her to some beauty goodies? Packaged in a convenient 1 oz bottle, this butter stick is the perfect size to stuff into a stocking or add to a charming gift basket that your recipient will love. And who doesn’t need some help with chapped skin this time of year?

Skin Free’s 1 oz Niaouli Butter Stick is available to purchase on their website for $7.99.

  1. Sounds wonderful! My dry skin is definitely screaming out for a good moisturizer. I’ll have to add this to my list!

  2. I’m a nurse and we have to wash our hands before and after seeing every patient. At the end of the day in the winter time my hands are red, raw and cracked. I’ve got a grab bag for the holidays at work and this would be perfect for one of my coworkers.
