My Take:
I don’t eat enough fruit. One of my “New Year’s Resolutions” is to incorporate as much fruit as I can into my diet, because I need to take better care of myself. As such, I am always looking for new ways to supplement my diet and sneak in more nutrition – even better when it comes in a convenient package, so I can’t rely on my old “I’m-Too-Busy” excuse.
I really enjoyed trying out Fruit2day’s juices, because it was a great way to include more fruit effortlessly with my lunch. The juices contain actual chunks of fruit, which came as a surprise at first, but not a bad one. It’s almost like a combination juice/smoothie. We sampled all four Fruti2day flavors – Mango Peach, Strawberry Orange, Pineapple Banana, and my personal favorite, Cherry Grape. Jai enjoyed sampling the drinks also – all in all, they were a big hit! I felt good about drinking these and would definitely have them again.
It’s important to eat the recommended daily servings of fruit, and there is no substitute for a balanced diet. But having a great-tasting drink that also includes an extra dose of fruit certainly can’t hurt. And especially during the hectic holiday season, it’s good to keep some healthy alternatives around. None of their fruit or veggies come from China. Which means it is lead-free, I assume! But I should probably hide in the bathroom and eat it all by myself just to be sure first….
