  4. I have an idea drawer where I throw magazine clippings or short ideas that I jotted down on a 3×5 notecard and put in the drawer “for later”. Sometimes I open the drawer and sift through my idea drawer and something usually inspires me. I spend a lot of time composing a post in my head before I actually sit down and write the post.

  11. I stop and play with my kids… they have such insight… and the things they say and do always put me in the mood to be creative!!

  13. I turn on some spa like music…helps me focus and concentrate on some new ideas…fresh air also does the trick when I’m feeling stuck!

  17. I keep the juices flowing by trying something new each week. Whether it be a new book, tv program, recipe, etc. I believe trying new things opens you up.

  35. Oddly enough, I’m most inspired when I’m really busy. If I have a ton of work to do and a lot to get done around the house or with the kids, then all I can think about are 800 potential blog posts! If I need to be inspired in graphic design, I’ll look through other websites & things to get an idea for a color scheme or something. Seeing other people’s work gives me ideas for things that look nothing like theirs somehow.
