I was recently approached by an online retailer called Geartaker.com to review a complimentary product from their store. As soon as I loaded their website, I could tell right away that it would interest Jai – they specialize in tech gadgets, and have all kinds of fun things on offer, from iPad accessories to Angry Birds merchandise. I told Jai to take a look at the website and pick what he’d like to review, and he quickly decided on this EW-600 2.4G wireless stereo headphone headset. He was very excited about this headset, because this is something that’s been on his tech wishlist!
Geartaker had me register for an account on their website, and added shopping points to my account so that I could order the headset to review. 1 point equals 1 dollar, and customers can earn them in various ways to save money on their order –click here to read more about their rewards program. I actually had technical trouble redeeming the points – I couldn’t complete the checkout process, so Geartaker ended up placing the order for me. I also found some of the order confirmation emails to be a bit confusing. However, the product soon arrived and was exactly as portrayed on the product page. Jai was very eager to try them out and started tearing into the package before we even left the post office! 🙂 So far, these headphones have been great; they’re exactly what Jai wanted, and he uses them all the time. It took some extra time to figure out all the functions on the headset, because all of the directions are in Chinese and did not include diagrams – unfortunately, we don’t speak Chinese, so we couldn’t read them. It wasn’t a big deal because Jai was able to get it all working, but that might be something to bear in mind if you need detailed setup instructions.
But don’t just take my word for it – here’s a v-log from Jai, discussing his thoughts and demonstrating how the headset works:

Very cool! My hubs would love these, and geartaker looks like a great site. Kind of odd that the headphones didn’t come with any english instructions though.

My husband would love this website!
This is my kind of website. We’re all kind of techy geeks here. 🙂
I am married to a geek so this looks like a great company! 🙂
Thanks the great review. I have been reading reviews on your site for a while, and think that your articles are great and very well put (subjective and to the point). I especially like your product reviews. The Entrpreneur in me have recently spurred me to start a line of Apple Accessories products myself. But a huge issue I’ve been having is getting my brand out there. In such a competitve market brand recognition is key, and I think getting a review from you would be a great place to start. Would you be interested in reviewing some of my products? I would love to get your take on how my stuff compares to whats currently on the market. I’m looking for a genuine, non-biased review, as this is essential for me to improve my products. My current line of accessories is called BisonFone; the line consists of of quality chargers, cords, car adapters, external batteries, and cases. These products are preliminary (and the market is full of these I know), but I spent a lot of time with a lot of different factories in order to make sure that they are of high quality. In addition to this I have a lot of MiniDisplayPort cables which Apple does not carry. I’m also in the works with a Japanese working on a line of remote controlled toy that is spacially aware of its surroundings (hopefully before iPad 3 and iPhone 5 gets released). Get in touch with me, I’d love to get you to review my stuff! You can find my contact info at my website, http://www.powerdynamic.ca, or contact me directly at service@powerdynamic.ca. I’m very serious about this and would really like a chance for you to review at least some of my products!
been looking for the answer to this for ages thanks
