Furniture Fix is a product designed to lift your sagging upholstery, as seen on TV. And one lucky Contest Corner reader will win a Furniture Fix of their own, so read on!
I don’t know about you guys, but I love “As Seen On TV” products. You may have noticed this commercial on TV recently:
When I saw the sumo wrestlers sitting on the couch to illustrate how it wouldn’t sag after using Furniture Fix, I immediately thought of my dad, who has one of the saggiest couches on the planet. Sure, it’s comfortable, but you sink down so far that you have to pull yourself out of it to stand up! He’s in the market for a new couch, but has yet to find another one that will work for his needs. His house was built before the American revolution, so the doorframes are a bit smaller than in modern homes, and he had a very difficult time getting the couch in there in the first place – so he’s concerned about finding anything else that will fit. So when I had a chance to review Furniture Fix a few months after seeing the original commercial, I immediately thought this would be a great thing for my dad!
Dad lives back home in England and I’m in the US, so sadly I can’t pop over to his house to try it out for this review. So, in order to put it to the test, I tried it out on my own couch.
My couch is very comfy, but it has one or two spots that sag slightly. We simply fitted the Furniture Fix slats together, tucked them underneath the cushion, and sat down again to compare the difference.
Both Jai and I noticed that it was firmer after placing the Furniture Fix underneath; I don’t think this will prevent sagging if two 500 pound sumo wrestlers sit on your settee, but I think it can help. I will be mailing this off to my dad soon as an early birthday present – hopefully it helps improve his couch situation a bit while he shops for a new one!
