Fibers sent me two $30 gift codes: One to give away to a lucky reader, and one to make my own custom garment with. I’ve been wanting to get a new pair of pajamas, so I was delighted to see that Fibers offers pants as well as shirts! Since I’m Super Coupon Girl, the choice seemed clear: I uploaded my Super Coupon Girl header onto a pair of baby blue pants to create a pair of custom pajamas! The total came to $31.99, so after my $30 discount (which covers product, shipping, and tax), I paid only $1.99 – a pair of frugal jammies worthy of Super Coupon Girl! Here’s how my custom pants turned out:
These pants are very cute, cozy, and comfy. I’m wearing them as I type this! According to the sizing chart, the women’s fleece pants fit comfortably and loose, which is very true. Their sizes correspond with women’s dress sizes, from 0-14. Sizing seems to vary wildly from one clothing manufacturer to the next – I decided to order the pants for sizes 10-12, and was concerned that it might be a bit snug. (I’m in the middle of losing weight, so it can be hard to tell what size you’re going to need because it keeps changing!) However, the opposite was true: The pants were huge on me! But the more oversized PJs are, the better, so I was glad; and they did shrink up a bit in subsequent washes, but they are still very large – plus, I’ve lost three pounds since they arrived, so they’re bound to feel bigger!
The only critique I have is with the “Design A T-Shirt” process. When I was creating my pants, I noticed that they looked very different in the design creator than in the final design. For example, in the design creator, I was able to enlarge the letters and position them to cover the entire front or back of the pants. But even though I was able to save the design, when I previewed it in the cart, I saw that the logo was shrunk into the corner, as it appears in the final product above. I don’t mind that placement, but I found the discrepancy confusing and can see where that could create frustration for the user who has a specific need for their creation.
