One of the key items on any back-to-school list is snacks. Of course, parents need easy snacks they can tuck in their child’s lunch box – but snacks are a staple on teacher classroom wishlists, too, and not just because it’s good to have something in the drawer for those mid-day energy slumps creating lesson plans! One of the things I discussed in last year’s article interviewing teachers about “Clear the List” was that it’s incredibly common for teachers to use some of their own paychecks to buy snacks for their classroom in order to feed underprivileged children, some of whom are coming to school without breakfast.
