Whether you’re looking for a healthy addition to your child’s lunchbox or just trying to figure out what to grab for a quick breakfast for yourself during those hectic first mornings of back-to-school, your best bet is to look for something that is quick and easy but can still fit into a balanced diet. For many people, yogurt fits that bill. And there’s a new yogurt in town that is perfect for sack lunches!
Emmi Roth USA is bringing delicious Swiss-style Yogurts to America. These yogurts come in 11 yummy flavors and are low in fat and high in protein – between 8 to 10 grams per six-ounce cup. We received a box full of complimentary Emmi Roth samples last week, and were looking forward to tasting them!
For anyone who has been following our weight loss journey and is wondering how this fits into our specific diet plan: The plain variety fits pretty much what is recommended, while the flavored varieties are a little higher in sugar and other values than what is advised for us specifically, because all the yogurt that is recommended as a supplement on our plan is plain. Because our diet food is pre-packaged, most of your daily nutritional values are already accounted for, which is why they have certain recommendations for what you should eat in-between your pre-portioned dishes so that you don’t go over. Makes sense!
So far, I’ve tried the plain variety as well as the Coffee and Vanilla Bean flavors. All three of them were delicious! Jai had Raspberry, and said that it was super good and didn’t taste low-fat. I think the great taste makes them a fine lunchbox choice!

I wonder what the different in Greek and Swiss yogurt is because I’m a huge fan of Greek. I like that they still have high protein content. I’ll have to see if they are in our area! My husband would love that green apple flavor (not me though)!
This has more the consistency of regular low-fat yogurt, so it’s not thick like Greek yogurt. It’s actually more liquid-y than some regular yogurt, but it has the same taste consistency – if that makes sense?
i bet my kids would love these with frozen blueberries in them at breakfast! that’s their favorite thing to eat!
That green apple sounds delicious! I’d try the vanilla and raspberry too.
I haven’t seen this yogurt but I would love to try it. Like Liz says, the green apple sounds yummy!
They sound SUPER good- especially the Vanilla Bean! I’ll have to keep an eye out for them!
These look good! I need to find these at the store. I’ve been eating one yogurt a day lately!
Never heard of green apple yogurt but with a name like Emmi you know it has to be good…LOL
Ok, now these are something I want to try. I’m going to see if our Krogers carry them. Thanks for sharing.
This yogurt looks delicious! I’m going to look for it this week.
