Week 3 of the Dial “Healthier You” Program focused on skin care once again. As I mentioned in previous entries, skin care has been a top priority in recent weeks as I prepared for our engagement photoshoot. I cleansed, exfoliated, applied clay masks, used pore cleansing nose strips and under-eye gel patches, toned, and moisturized! We had the photos taken on Tuesday – click here to view them. Now, I think the challenge will be keeping up the great work now that I don’t have to worry about being “Picture-perfect” for a little while!
This week, wellness coach Amy Hendel talked about the importance of sunblock in your skincare routine. I’ve always been very careful about wearing sunscreen – of course, I use all-over sunblock on hot, sunny days, but I also try to use facial moisturizers with an SPF of at least 15 year-round. My skin care goal is to be more consistent with my usage so that I don’t forget or rush through my routine and skip the SPF, because I really think it’s important. Another tip that Amy shared is to apply your moisturizer on damp skin right after you get out of the shower, to seal in water droplets for extra hydration. Great idea!
