Last week, we introduced you to a wine from Banfi Tuscany’s “Artist Series”, a great line of affordable wines. This week, I have another recommendation to make from this series: The Col di Sasso 2010, a wonderful red wine that will only set you back about $9 and is a perfect hostess gift or dinner accompaniment. I received a complimentary bottle of this to taste-test recently, and I really enjoyed it. Red wine is a favorite of mine, and this had a nice flavor that paired great with my steak dinner. (And yes, that is steak from Nutrisystem! Are you jealous of my diet yet? ;)) Sometimes red wine can be a little bitter, and rock-bottom price varieties can be especially prone to this. However, I didn’t get that “Puckered lemon” face from this one and really enjoyed it. In fact, Jai isn’t all that big on red wines, and he told me that he was pleasantly surprised by how much he liked this one. Great for an evening in relaxing with dinner and TV!

Red wine and steak! Yumm!
Ummmm, what? All this fits on your diet. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….
I really need to dabble in red white a bit more!
Liz – *Technically*, Nutrisystem recommends avoiding alcohol, but they have a “Dining out” guide that gives you tips for going “Off-program” every once in a while so it’s OK to indulge in moderation. But the steak dinner? 100% diet food, if you can believe it! 😀
I swear, Beeb, you make me want to join Nutrisystem. I think you and Jai eat better than I do! 🙂
I don’t drink wine however after my event last weekend I just may start;)
