Find Your Bliss With Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss Creamers #NaturalBlissWM

Not only am I a coffee fanatic, but I’m also completely obsessed a big fan of coffee creamers. I only drink black coffee in the most dire of emergencies – I always have something to put in my coffee, be it half & half or specialty flavored creamers. People have teased me for how much creamer I pour into my coffee, but hey, I like it to be nice and creamy! 😉 I buy more creamer/half & half each week than anyone I know, and of the coffee creamer brands, Coffee-Mate has always been my very favorite. Trying different varieties is a special treat, and when my favorite holiday flavors come out around Christmas, I’ve been known to stock up on a few extra bottles to last me though January. (I do love my Peppermint Mocha!) I always get excited when Coffee-Mate introduces its new flavors – it’s one of life’s small pleasures for me. So when I had an opportunity to sample Coffee-Mate’s newest line, Natural Bliss, I couldn’t wait to give it a try!

We headed to Walmart yesterday afternoon so that we could pick up a few bottles of Natural Bliss and have a taste-test. The store we visited had 3 Natural Bliss flavor varieties: Sweet Cream, Caramel, and Vanilla. I had two printable coupons good for $1.00/2 bottles of Natural Bliss, so I picked up two bottles of the Caramel and one bottle each of the other varieties. Once we got home, Jai and I set about having a Coffee-Mate tasting. Natural Bliss is Coffee-Mate’s all-natural line, with each bottle containing only 4 ingredients: Milk, cream, sugar, and natural flavoring. I was really interested to see whether the more natural approach would result in a taste that was better – or not. We decided to pair this with a delicious bag of Starbucks coffee, since I knew that would provide the perfect coffee “Canvas” for our tasting!

Here’s what we thought of each flavor:

• Caramel: This was the first flavor I tasted. (Told you we loved caramel!) It had a nice flavor – perhaps not as sweet as other caramel creamers, but that’s a good thing, because sometimes I like my coffee to be a little less sugary.
• Sweet Cream: When Jai tasted this deliciously simple creamer, he said that he would have a hard time distinguishing it from coffee prepared with half & half and sugar. This cream alternative has a touch of sweetness that sets it apart; it has a very different taste than regular unflavored Coffee-Mate.
• Vanilla: This variety is very nice. It tastes quite similar to regular vanilla Coffee-Mate – it’s not “missing” anything by being all-natural.

Natural Bliss holds its own, not only with Coffee-Mate’s other flavors, but with coffee creamer options in general. I thought the flavors were delicious, and like other Coffee-Mate products, it has a great taste and high quality that makes it a creamer of choice. What I like about this line is that it has just enough sweet flavoring added to be enjoyable but not overwhelming. I’ll go through phases of drinking my coffee with nothing but half and half, then I’ll switch for a while to nothing but sweet coffee creamers, then back to half and half; so for someone like me who likes variety, Natural Bliss is a good choice. Another thing I noted is that the Sweet Cream would be good to use with flavored coffee beans – I try to avoid using coffee creamers with pre-flavored coffee so there’s not conflicting tastes, so the simple sweetness of Sweet Cream would be a good alternative to half & half in that situation. Natural Bliss compares very favorably to other creamers and I would absolutely drink it again!
