Contest Corner has teamed up with Teacher’s Market to bring you a new, ongoing series: Teacher Feature! We’re doing this as a way to shine a spotlight on deserving educators and donate the essential school supplies that they need to teach the youth of tomorrow! Teacher Feature will provide a space where teachers can share their Amazon wishlists for classroom items in a variety of different ways. We’ll publicize these wishlists through fun giveaways and other features in order to raise awareness and encourage our wonderful readers to donate and/or help us share these wishlists – the more attention we can bring to these teachers, the more items we’ll be able to donate to “Clear The List”! Read on to learn more about what’s coming and why we’re doing this. Teachers, make sure to bookmark this page as this will be an ongoing resource for you to share your wishlists.

Why Is It Necessary to “Clear The List”?
Did you know that back in 1916, communities actually used to throw showers for teachers, the way we throw baby and bridal showers today? That’s because teachers used to make the school lunches for their students and needed kitchenware to do it, as I learned in this fascinating Tasting History video about the history of school lunches. And while teachers no longer have to purchase bakeware for their classrooms, they do still have to purchase other necessary school supplies – yet, there are no more showers for teachers. I interviewed several teachers about their experiences with this, and it was eye-opening; click here to read the article to learn more.
Because of this, Teacher’s Market and I wanted to throw this “Virtual Shower”, so that our online community can pull together and help these teachers get the supplies they need! Classroom items are typically inexpensive, so if each one of us buys something small, we can collectively “Clear the list” and ease the financial burden on teachers – each individual item may be affordable, but when you need enough for a whole classroom, it adds up fast! If you’re not in a position to donate anything, you can still help tremendously by sharing this post using the handy buttons at the bottom of this page. There are so many easy, cheap and FREE ways we can pitch in – click here for some ideas! Please, join us in spreading the word so we can help teachers get more donations!
This was a fun post to read and I really learned a lot.
Thank for the info! Makes a lot of sense as I still usually make a meal or two a week for my students and I always have snacks on hand. I really spend more time with the children of others than I do my own and I am so glad that my own have teachers as invested in them the same way.
Thank you for supporting teachers!
I would love to be considered!
This is a great idea! Teachers are so important in our society and need to be recognized more for all they do!
Thanks so much!!!❤️
Thank you for the great ideas!
Thank you for supporting us teachers. I would love to be considered to get my list promoted and cleared.
