We recently did a huge remodel of our bathroom, and one of the things we added was a copper sink. The sink is absolutely beautiful and looks so gorgeous in my bathroom – I love it! The only downside to having a copper sink is the fact that they tarnish so quickly. No matter how often I clean it, my sink seems to get a murky green buildup almost immediately, which makes it a challenge to keep it looking nice. So when I had a chance to try a complimentary bottle of Original Copper & Brass Polish from the Fuller Brush Company, I was very eager to see if this would do a better job.
To test this, I did my normal bathroom cleaning routine, saving the sink and faucets for last. I figured it wouldn’t be much of a test if I used it on a sink/faucet that was already clean! 😉
Here’s a side-by-side comparison:
As you can see, there are still some spots of tarnish on the bowl. This is the first time I have ever used a treatment like this to clean the sink, so I’m not surprised at the build-up. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this cleaner. I am most excited about the fact that this polish contains an anti-tarnish ingredient meant to add a protective barrier; I’m hoping that this will keep my sink looking great for longer. I will keep you posted!
I used a couple of old socks as rags to clean the sink with – look how much green gunk they picked up! I thought it would be cool to show you how much came off during the cleaning, since it was hard to capture all the details in the photos – the camera flash has a tendency to catch the light on the sink and wash out the pictures somewhat. Poor Mr. Snowman is totally green now!
The Original Copper & Brass Polish from the Fuller Brush Company is available for $7.49 on Fuller.com.
It looks awesome! That cleaner isn’t too expensive, I may have to look into it!
Love love love your sink!!! OMGosh I want a sink like that!
As for the b efore and after picks, I think the cleaner looks good and I bet it’s one of those things that the more you use it, the better it looks.
that is an absolutely beautiful sink! Copper must be kindof hard to care for but it looks like you found a product that seems to work pretty well! I bet with regular use it will really look amazing!
Oh, my how funny! my mother would love this so much. My mom has so many brass/copper items and i know she would love this product. You do find great items! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Your sink is beautiful! You can definitely see the difference in the second set of pictures you posted.
I didn’t realize that would be so tough to keep clean, but it makes sense. It does seem to have made a difference though, and the lasting effects alone would be worth it.
wow, that stuff is awesome! Poor Mr. Snowman sock though 🙁
Btw, I LOVE your sink. Any sink that is above the counter like that has my heart!
