Isn’t this a neat photo? Jai took this shot several years ago. How, you ask? He actually held the camera lens up to a Telescope and snapped the photo through its eyepiece – that’s how he got so much detail in the photo. Jai has always held an interest in astronomy; he owns a Baytronix telescope that we keep upstairs. It’s so fascinating to use, especially when there are celestial events such as an eclipse.
Telescopes provide an awe-inspiring view into the stars, whether you’re an amateur astronomer or just enjoy getting a peek into the sky above us. So I was fascinated to check out Skies Unlimited, a neat company that offers a large selection of telescopes for sale. The selection of equipment that they carry is quite impressive! Not only do they carry every kind of home telescope imaginable, but they also offer all manner of books dealing with astronomy as well as binoculars, microscopes, weather stations, and more. They also offer a monthly newsletter so you can keep up with the latest news. Skies Unlimited would be a great site to check out for holiday shopping!
Readers: Do you own a telescope? What’s the neatest thing you’ve ever seen through one?
That is really neat! My kids haven’t mastered looking through eyepieces, yet, but I can’t wait to explore the night skies with them!
Hi! That turned out really neat. I am definitely giving you a stumble =D Thanks for stopping by Family Literacy tonight. You should post that on one of the Wednesday Photo Linky’s – don’t know how you’d do it silently though. LOL
Thanks! Tina “the Book lady’
Really neat photo great ,
you just reminded me I was going to try this with my new camera and I had it months now, thanks for stumbling 🙂
We have a telescope that was my hubby’s when he was in middle school. When my son gets a bit older, we want to get him a new one.
These are awesome shots, the moon is very hard to take a photo of.
I never thought to do this. What a great idea and a beautiful picture!
That is a beautiful shot, and a very clever way to get it!
Those are beautiful. I love the moon.
Stumbled you, stumble me.
