I’m inspired by:

I am inspired by life, nature, children, the ocean, animal and anything unimpeded and jaded with scars from their past. It’s something I strive to free in myself. I am also inspired by strong emotions, especially pain. Pain is like the highest grade of fuel in which I can create into the most beautiful song from. All of those things separately do not necessarily mean that I will write about them, they are simply the creative spark that takes a shape of its own.

I realized I wanted to play music when:

I realized that I wanted to play music when I saw a video of Queen Live At Wembley with my babysitter when I was 6. Brian May was playing “Hammer to Fall” on guitar and I realized that this was what I was meant to be doing. Prior to that, I had been in a choir but I didn’t consider that ‘playing’ music. Music was almost like my first language, something so very natural for me!

Four songs you might find on my iPod:

Free Fallin’ – Tom Petty

Back to The Light – Brian May

Why should I cry for you? – Sting

Silent Man – Dream Theater

One word I would use to describe myself:

Deep

The best part of being a musician is:

The best part of being a musician is that I can hear things that do not currently exist and express myself by turning them into a song and lavishing the song with emotion. What a gift. It’s a way to express that I find second to none and wouldn’t trade it for the world. I am blessed!

Right now, I’m most excited about:

Right now, I am most excited about people hearing my music and growing as a person! Simultaneously, even!

Something most people don’t know about me is:

I’m a hippie and in another life if I weren’t a musician, I would live in a treehouse in the rainforest by an ocean, and live with the aborigines.

One of my happiest moments was:

One of my happiest moments was working with Carl Restivo & Nuno Bettencourt on my first music video. We were trying to get me signed and it was such an exhilarating, loving, and care-free time that I will never, ever forget.

My music is:

My music is an audible form of the things I can’t or don’t know how to say.

In ten years, I see myself:

In ten years I see myself becoming a better songwriter, a better musician, a better person, a strong voice for the well-being of nature and our environment, playing music, and recording, possibly working with other artists, and getting a PHD in endocrinology.

  1. It’s neat when you see how someone’s path in life was determined at such a young age. I love that she discovered her love for music at age six.
