As a bride-to-be, I’m always searching for the best places to buy wedding supplies. I was recently introduced to Ann’s Bridal Bargains, an online retailer that offers everything from wedding invitations to reception favors and wedding napkins. And one lucky Contest Corner reader will win a $100 gift certificate to Ann’s Bridal Bargains, so read on!
Ann’s Bridal Bargains also offered me a gift certificate of my own to pick out a few items for review, and I had a lot of fun deciding on what to buy. I love shopping for wedding items! Here’s what I decided on:
The first item I picked out was this Silver Hearts Handle Knife and Server set. I thought it was a very pretty set, and not only will it be perfect for cutting the cake, it will be a memento that we’ll always have from the big day. Although the photo shown on the product page depicts engraving on both the server and the knife, only the server is personalized – I found that to be confusing, so just make sure you read the product details carefully when ordering. You can add both your names & wedding date to the server – since we don’t have a date yet, I decided to have it engraved with “Our Wedding, Beeb & Jay”. My fiancé’s suggestion was that we engrave it with “Mmmm, cake….OM NOM NOM”, but I overrode his suggestion. 😉
The second item I picked out was this set of Dove and Bell Design Flutes. Like the serving set, these also come custom personalized with your name (And wedding date, if you have one! ;)) They’re very cute – I love how they say “Bride” and Groom”!
For the third item, I chose this Elegant Damask Guest Book in Black and White. I really love the pretty design, and it holds 700 signatures, so there will be plenty of space for guests to write their thoughts!
Finally, I added this Silver Plated Bell to the order to bring my total up to $100. This will add a cute little touch to one of the tables at the reception!
These gift certificates don’t cover shipping, so I paid $9.00 total for the order – not bad for $100 worth of wedding supplies. 🙂 The order took a while to ship, because they actually held the order so they could contact me and verify the personalization – since I didn’t enter a wedding date to be engraved on the flutes, they called me and asked if that was an oversight or if they should go ahead and engrave it as it was. When you enter in the personalization on the website, it tells you to proofread your order carefully, as they are not liable for mistakes; so I thought it was really cool that they went above and beyond by calling me first before finishing the order. I’m very happy with my order and look forward to using these items during our wedding!
