Alente Wine

Alente is a red wine from the Alentejo region of Portugal made from Trincadeira and Aragonez grapes. I received a complimentary bottle of this wine to taste test over the weekend, and I was interested to see what it would be like, as red wines tend to be my very favorite and this sounded like it would be right up my alley.

I find that wine is best enjoyed over a nice dinner or with appetizers, so I paired this with garlic stuffed olives and crackers, and it was the perfect Friday night treat. Alente has a bold, deep flavor that is smooth and satisfying to the palate. It complimented my spread nicely, and I really enjoyed Alente’s taste. If you’re a fan of red wines, you might want to give this one a try! Lower-price-range wines often get a bad rap, but this doesn’t have that notorious sour tone which some wines do – it’s an easy drinking and very enjoyable wine. Pricing on this ranges around $10 for a bottle, so for a red wine with a nice taste and an attractive bottle, I think it’s a good choice on the budget-friendly spectrum. I would absolutely drink this again and serve it to guests.

Look for Alente red wine in your local stores or check EnoForumWines.com for further information.
