Absolutely Audrey Shoe Clips Review

If you’re looking for a fun stocking stuffer perfect for the fashionista on your list, then you might want to consider a throwback to classic fashion with a pair of shoe clips! Shoe clips were popular in the ’50s as a way to accessorize and add a little extra elegance to an outfit. Although shoe and dress clips have mostly gone out of the mainstream consciousness, Absolutely Audrey is bringing them back with a 2012 twist! See those fabulous pink bows pictured above? Why yes, I did put these on my sneakers! I’ve had to live in sneakers for a very long time thanks to my knee injury – which, if you’ve ever met me in real life, you know has been a struggle for this girl who always wears pretty shoes and despises sneakers! Fortunately, my mobility is pretty much all back now, but I’m doing the smart thing and waiting for 110% rehabilitation on all my knee function before I dare put on a 10″ pair of heels again; so for now, the orthopedic sneakers stay. In that regards, these Venus Shoe Clips could not have come at a better time – although sneakers are still sneakers, at least they look a little more fun and elegant now! I just LOVE the bright pink sparkly bow: That is my style in a nutshell! These were easy to clip on over my shoelaces, and their claw backing stays put – at first I thought they’d fall off right away, but the backing sinks in firmly and makes it hard to dislodge. I’ve had these on my sneakers for about two months now, and they’ve only gotten jostled once or twice when I was walking and knocked into something. I think these make a great, bold statement and really jazz up an outfit. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them – even from the staff at the doctor’s office!
