Not sure how to use our form? No problem! Here’s an example of what your giveaway submission should look like:
- “Site name” is the field where you would type the title of your blog, IE “My Cool Blog”.
- “Site URL” is where you should put the link to the main page of your blog, NOT your giveaway. So if you run MyCoolBlog.com, type out http://www.mycoolblog.com.
- “Prize description” is where you give a summary of what you are giving away. For example, if you are hosting a giveaway for coffee, write “3 bags of coffee”.
- “Entry deadline” is where you will type the deadline to enter your contest. So if your contest ends on August 6th, type “August 6th, 2012” or “08/06/12”. If you use Rafflecopter, please check your giveaway deadline carefully! The timezone which the Rafflecopter widget uses can cause confusion as to the true end date.
- “Who is eligible to enter?” This is where you state who is eligible to enter your giveaway. For example, if your giveaway is open to US residents only, write “US residents”. If your giveaway is open to anyone in the world over the age of 18, then you could write “Worldwide, 18+”; and so on.
- “Giveaway link” is where you put the direct link to your giveaway. So if readers can enter by visiting http://www.mycoolblog.com/coffee-giveaway, then that is the URL which you would type here.
After you have filled in all of this information, you can either hit Preview or Send. If you hit “Preview”, you will see a screen similar to this:
After previewing, you can hit “Send” to submit your giveaway to us. You will see a confirmation screen to let you know that your giveaway has gone through:
Due to the large volume of giveaway submissions we receive, we do ask that you fill in all the information as asked on the form, otherwise we will not be able to publish your submission. We schedule giveaway listings for publication up to a week or more in advance depending on the end date of each listing, often publishing giveaway listings around 48-72 hours before their entry deadline – we’ve found that readers are often more likely to enter giveaways that are listed within a few days of their expiration. We reserve the right not to publish any submissions.
