$25 Pink Blush e-Gift Card Giveaway – Ends 07/20

Summer is here, which means it’s time to pull out your lighter clothes and dig out those fun summer dresses! You know that I love girly dresses, so when I had the chance to pick out a few pieces from Pink Blush, I was absolutely spoiled for choice! There were so many fun, flirty little dresses to choose from that I had a very hard time picking. After opening about 50 FireFox tabs with potential choices, I narrowed it down to my favorite two. First up, we have the Peach Floral Print Chiffon Dress:

I am absolutely in love with this dress! It’s so cute, comfortable, and the perfect lightweight fabric for summer. It’s versatile enough to wear to the beach, for a girl’s movie night, or anywhere else that summer takes me! I’ve already taken it on the road with me once, when I flew to Montgomery, Alabama two weeks ago:

This was the perfect dress to wear while sightseeing – the breathable fabric kept me as cool as possible in the humidity, withstood the intermittent rain showers, and it was easy to pack in my carry-on without taking up a lot of space or wrinkling.

I was a little worried that this dress might be a bit too short, but it fit just right. I was advised that the size I chose – a large – might be a bit too big; there was a lot of room around the top half, which made me concerned that I should have gotten a medium, but it seems to have settled in as I’ve washed it (More on that below!) so I’d say it’s just about right now!

Next up, we have the Mint Green Floral Open Back Dress:

This dress was the same size, but it fit a lot shorter than the pink dress – too short on me, so I put a pair of shorts under this dress whenever I wear it. I also wear an orange cami underneath the dress, because depending on how I move, you can see my bra strap through the open back (Which is a no-brainer with any open back dress) and the tank completely eradicates that.

Although the short length makes this dress less convenient than the pink one because I have to layer shorts under it, I still love it – the colors are fabulous and I think it’s really cute! I’ve worn this on day trips and out on the town last week when we went to our local bar to watch UFC 175. Both dresses have gotten compliments, and both will be going into my suitcase as I head down to San Jose later this month for BlogHer!

And now, a note on the washing – the tags say these dresses are to be washed by hand, but I have run them both through the washer and dryer several times. Try this at your own risk, etc. etc.; the dresses may wear out faster from machine washing, but it’s worth it to me for the convenience!
