Seventh Generation Cold Care Kit Giveaway – Ends 11/13

As you may already know, Jai and I got hit with a killer cold about a week and a half ago. I get sick a lot, so I’m kind of used to it, but this one was especially atrocious. Jai almost never gets sick, but this one knocked him for a loop too. We both had to take a day off because we were so sick – really unusual for us – and we just felt awful. We were congested, loopy, and sneezing non-stop!

However, there was one serendipitous occurrence through all this. Just a few days before this nasty bug struck us, I actually received a complimentary “Cold Care Kit” in the mail from Seventh Generation – talk about timing!!

Included in the package were six boxes of 100% Recycled Facial Tissue – the timing could not have been better on that one, we’ve been using these constantly!! In fact, I was even seen holding a box of it in my last, sneezy v-log. 😉 We’ve used up several boxes already from being so sick – luckily, Seventh Generation has a cute idea for what I can do with all those empty boxes:

In addition to the tissues, we received some other items to help keep things sanitary:

This canister of Disinfecting Wipes has been super handy for wiping down grimy surfaces and cleaning things up. I especially love using these type of wet wipes to clean the garbage can!

I also received bottles of Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner and All Purpose Cleaner. These have been SUPER handy for getting things spic and span, especially since I had two parties in under two weeks. These are awesome for cleaning down counters, sinks, tables, and countless other surfaces!

I also received two bottles of Hand Wash in Mandarin and Lavender. I put one in the bathroom and one by the kitchen sink, and they’ve been awesome! I love the fresh scents – they smell really good, and they really have come in handy for washing my hands after a sneezing fit or before preparing food.

All of these products make good year-round staples, but I especially appreciated having them now, since I didn’t have to worry about re-stocking on tissue or supplies when I didn’t feel like getting out of PJs!
