On the Oregon coast, candles aren’t just a decorative touch – we regularly get power outages during winter months, so it’s a necessity! In fact, I’ll never forget the year when we had hurricane-force winds in December that delayed everyone’s Christmas shopping because the power was out for so long – weeks for some unlucky people in our county!
