Reverse Charades: Girls’ Night In Edition Giveaway – Ends 01/04 – US/CAN

The holidays are a time to celebrate with friends, and what better way to liven up a party than to play a fun game? I love playing games with my friends – both board games and video games. I used to host pretty fun New Year’s parties where all my girlfriends would come over and play Pac-Man and card games. Everyone lives in different towns now, so our parties are a little more infrequent due to distance, but I have a great game we can all play the next time we all get together: Reverse Charades! I received the Girls’ Night In Edition expansion pack this week, which was my top choice to review since it looked like the most fun for my circle of friends. It’s going to be a little while before I can get everyone together, so Jai humored my request to play a round with me so I could properly review it. He doesn’t even like board games very much, so he was definitely a good sport to humor me with this girlie round of charades. 😉 The idea is that you assemble teams of 3 or more to play, and work against the clock to act out phrases illustrated on the cards. The rules are pretty flexible and were actually very easy to adapt to only 2 people. It says to use the “Enclosed timer” for each round, but there was no timer in the box – I realized this is because this is an expansion pack meant to fit into the original Reverse Charades box. Nevertheless, I just set the timer on my iPhone for 1 minute and started! These are the phrases I acted out for Jai:

He got all of these right except for “Lip Plumpers”. It was then his turn, and I guessed three of the cards he pulled, so we actually tied! I thought it was fun and I have to commend Jai for doing such a good job figuring out that I meant “Tanning Bed” when I laid on the chair and mimed pulling down a lid. He could have easily thought I was acting out a vampire in a coffin or something. 😉 This will be so much fun to play with my friends – this actually would have been perfect for the bachelorette party I held earlier in the year, so I’m actually putting it in a stocking for the same friend I hosted that party for. She loves board games and I know she’ll get a kick out of it!
