PediaCare Cold & Fever Medicine Giveaway – Ends 09/22

As the first day of fall quickly approaches, so does the beginning of flu season. To help you stock your medicine cabinets, PediaCare would like to give one lucky Contest Corner reader two bottles of their children’s medicine, so read on!

PediaCare recently sent me a bottle of their Multi-Symptom Cold medicine as well as their Fever Reducer/Pain Reliever. I know what you’re thinking: “But Beeb, you don’t have children!” However, I often keep children’s medicine in my stockpile – I buy it whenever I can get it for free with coupons. The reason for this is that most children’s cold medicines contain the same ingredients as adult medicine; they just have lower doses. For example, the PediaCare Pain Reducer contains 160 mg of Acetaminophen per dose, versus the 500 mg found in Extra Strength Tylenol. Fortunately, I haven’t been sick since my PediaCare products arrived, but I’m glad to add these to my medicine cupboard for future use: They contain the same standard ingredients that I would typically use to treat colds and pain, so I will just read the dosing information carefully and scale it up for adult-sized colds. (And of course, I am not a doctor, so talk to yours before taking any medicines!)
