NutraSalt – Review & Twitter Giveaway

My take:

NutraSalt sent me a complimentary box filled with a variety of seasoning salts to try. I love using new things in the kitchen, so I couldn’t wait to taste these. Being a major garlic lover, the first one I cracked open was a bottle of Savory Garlic salt.

We had eaten chicken and dumplings for dinner the day before, and I had a few dumplings and half a jar of gravy left, but no chicken. I searched Google for ideas on how to use these leftovers, and was inspired by this recipe for KnoedleEinzi. I chopped up my dumplings and two heads of broccoli, added the gravy, four eggs, and a liberal shaking of the Savory Garlic salt. My blurry iPhone picture doesn’t do it justice, because it was very yummy! My salt-hating fiancé even requested that we add this seasoning to our hamburgers the next day.

I also used the Savory Garlic on this side of roasted broccoli, along with a sprinkling of Lemon Dill salt and the classic Sea Salt.

My latest experiment was with this dish of rice. After I added rice and water to my rice cooker, I sprinkled in some Bold Chipotle salt to liven it up. So far, NutraSalt has been a hit in every dish I’ve added it to – and I still have a bottle of African Medley and Asian Fusion salt that I haven’t had a chance to open yet, so I can’t wait to see what those are like!
